QB
Greg Zolman
Spent most of 2005 on the Maniax inactive list while rehabbing his wrist. While his performance as the ‘Ax starter in 2004 (5 TD, 9 INT) will likely preclude him from another starting job in the league, he can still serve as a capable backup.
Randy Fasani
Beat out Jeff Smoker for the job as third stringer in San Francisco but was limited to quarterbacking the scout team as Kevin Daft and later Andrew Walter took the snaps. Fasani played well for the Hitmen in 2004 before a season-ending concussion.
RB
Anthony Thomas
After trading for Curtis Alexander, the Vipers really didn’t need another power back, so Thomas became expendable. Thomas still has the speed and strength to turn small holes into big gains, but may be best suited to be a halfback/fullback tweener type.
Nick Maddox
Became expendable when Jacksonville signed another ex-Viper, Dahrran Diedrick. Maddox is explosive out of the backfield, and showed another dimension to his game with 25 catches in ’05.
WR
Dialleo Burks
Was looking at either dropping to the #2 receiver spot or to the slot for the Rage, then they signed Jeremaine Copeland and released Burks just a few days later. Burks caught 58 passes, seven for touchdowns and would be a steal for a team needing a veteran receiver at this point.
Quincy Jackson
Only three years removed from a monster 93-catch season in 2003, Jackson could still start for a number of teams. At the very least could be another veteran possession receiver.
Charles Lee
Lee was just beginning to find his game when a knee injury in 2004 cost him half the season, last year he caught 26 passes and may be of value to a team as an extra wideout.
Talman Gardner
Enjoyed his best season in the league after a knee injury with the Hitmen in 2003 cost him his rookie season. Gardner caught 25 passes in 2005 with Kansas City as the Monarchs’ slot receiver.
TE
Tim Euhus
Missed all of 2005 recovering from knee surgery in the fall of 2004. Had 31 catches for 349 yards and four touchdowns as a rookie in 2004 with the Monarchs.
Nick Eller
Did not have a catch during the regular season for the Xtreme, but had a big 31-yard rumble in the fourth quarter against Las Vegas in the playoffs to set up a Billy Bennett field goal.
Josh Wilcox
Went from among the best tight ends in the XFL to seemingly the forgotten man since the Vipers drafted Chris Cooley in 2004. Still can make the big catches, as he did during championship runs with the Xtreme and Vipers from 2001-03.
OT
John Feugill
Played well at right tackle for the Maniax after winning the job in 2004 and started three games in 2005.
Jon Blackman
Dependable veteran has started 36 games at right tackle for the Outlaws and Mustangs in his career.
OG
Ben Cavil
“Big Ben” started all but two games at left guard for the Hitmen from day one until he moved over to left tackle for two games to start for an injured Corey Mitchell.
Scott Kiernan
Serviceable right guard was one of the men who helped Jamal Robertson to the rushing title in 2004.
Josh Warner
Was penciled in as the starter at left guard after Antwan Kirk-Hughes rejoined the Xtreme as a free agent until the Bolts signed Cosey Coleman. Warner played every position except center since joining the Bolts as a free agent in 2003.
C
Dwayne Ledford
Started all 12 games at center for the expansion Ironmen in 2002 before moving to right guard after the Ironmen signed Jason Ball. Has been derailed by injuries over the years but still can play.
DE
Chad Bratzke
Veteran DE that could find a spot as a third down/situational pass rusher
DT
Shawn Worthen
Could be a steal for any team that signs him if he can stay on the field.
OLB
Dane Krager
Hard worker who finished among the top five in tackles for the Glory his first three years in the league (2002-04)
Dwayne Rudd
Solid veteran speed rusher has a little bit of thingyiness to go with it. Was productive as an extra linebacker for the Maniax in 2005.
ILB
Dwayne Levels
Had another solid year for the Ironmen with 74 tackles and five sacks in ’05.
Kivusama Mays
Solid veteran who can play both inside and outside, although he hasn’t been a starter since 2002.
Johnny Rutledge
Another versatile linebacker who can play both inside and outside.
CB/S
Delvin Hughley
Not a great cover corner but a hard worker who was limited to four games last year with an ankle sprain
Steve Smith
Nickel specialist can play both cornerback and safety.

Todd Sievers
