The Carolina Colonels have annouced thier 2006 Gameday Promotions. The Colonels play all of their home games at historic Carter-Finley Stadium.
June 11th vs. The Kansas City Monarchs
This will be Fan Appreciation Day for the Colonels as fans can come early and partake in games and contests, and stay afterwords for free autographs from players and coaches. Also, every fan will recieve a free Colonels T-shirt.
June 25th vs The Orlando Rage
Bobbleheads will hit Carter-Finley Stadium as it will be Free Bobblehead night. Every fan will recieve either a Terrance Edwards, Ryan Fowler, or Norm Chow Bobblehead.
July 2nd vs The New York Hitmen
This will be an early 4th of July Celebration as the Colonels host the Hitmen. Free American Flags will be handed out, and there will be a special halftime performance by the Army Band from Fort Bragg. After the game there will be a short concert by the Army Band.
July 15th vs. The Jacksonville Predators
College Night will rock the Stadium when the Colonels bring battle to Jacksonville. All college students who show ID will be admitted free, and all fans are encouraged to wear their favorite college's colors to the game. At halftime the Power Sound of the South: The North Carolina State Marching Band will perform.
July 23rd vs The Seattle Reign
This will be can food night in Raleigh. Each person who brings 5 can foods to the game will be able to recive half off their ticket. All cans will be dontated to the North Carolina Council for Hunger. There will also be several all you can eat contests at the stadium so fans are encouraged to sign up for those.
August 12th vs. The Washington Glory
This will be Youth night. All kids ages 16 and under will be admitted free. In addition all local youth, middle school, and high school football teams are invited to wear their uniforms and sit together. At halftime there will be 4 teams from the 11-12 year old East Wake Football league playing against one another.
In addition to these home promotions, the Colonels front office is in the process of organizing trips to Washington and Jacksonville so that fans can support the Colonels on the road. More information about these trips will be made avaible in the days to come.
