About a month after firing former head coach Ralph Freidgen, the Washington Glory have found themselves a new head coach. Again like with the previous hiring they pull a successful head coach from the college ranks.
GM/Owner Eric Murray "This man has brought a program from the bottom up which is what is desperately needed here in the Nation's capital after last season's collapse. At this point we are very excited to introduce our newest head coach to this franchise....
West Virginia Football head coach Rich Rodriguez. Coach Rodriguez, welcome to the Nation's capital."
Coach Rodriquez: "Thank you Owner Murray. I feel very honored for this opportunity to coach in a professional league of this caliber. This franchise has some very promising players that I look forward to working with and the management here is excellent. When I was approached about this job I knew it was a perfect fit for me, both for me and my family. This team obviously had a down year last year and I hope to come in here and restore some attitude and discipline in this team."
After the press conference, the team announced that it has resigned several of its kep players from last year's team. They include Quarterback Adrian McPherson, Linebacker Paris Lenon, and Wide Receiver Mike Bush.
