1. Kansas City (5-0, LW 1): Stop the presses, Tress Way actually punted--not once but twice
2. Orlando (4-1, LW 2): An unconvincing near-fall to the Stampede and lame-duck starter Brandon Allen but falls of other challengers leave Rage here by default
3. San Francisco (3-2, LW 7): In what world are we where Taylor Gabriel has morphed into DeSean Jackson?
4. Chicago (3-1, LW 3): Their previous most shocking loss at home was so long ago (2005) it wasn't even the former incarnation of the team they just lost to (the 2002-09 Pittsburgh Ironmen are part of the Stampede lexicon)
5. Dallas (3-2, LW 4): So is 911: Lonestar a spin-off of 911 or a Hard Knocks/All or Nothing type show about the Lonestars' defense?
6. Washington (3-2, LW 5): Losing the turnover battle to Luke Falk is a win?
7. New York (2-3, LW 9): They beat LA to stay afloat, now will they pull back even or fall in the ultimate trap?
8. St. Louis (2-3, LW 7): Maybe Jeff Fisher did sneak in the building
9. Los Angeles (2-3, LW 8): Maybe the X-Men should have held onto Connor Cook just to evoke memories of upsetting the Monarchs three years ago (of course maybe they should bring in Maurice Jones-Drew from his legendary 'one man gang' game in 2009 as well)
10. Tampa Bay (2-3, LW 12): A big upset in Chicago will greatly help bring 'em out for the league's first edition of the War on I-4
11. San Antonio (1-4, LW 10): Cook might have been the difference maker had Kevin Sumlin not put all his chips on Nathan Peterman last summer
12. Carolina (0-5, LW 11): Mike Mularkey will ride off into retirement having started 0-5 two of his last three seasons, 2011, or even 2016-17, is a long way away isn't it?
