1. San Francisco(9-1): Ah, so this is what happens when their opponent fights back.
2. Kansas City(8-2): Don't look now, but the defense is slowly coming back since adding Teair Tart. The rematch will be something, even if it's in San Francisco.
3. Carolina(7-3): Of course you had them as the top team in the Eastern Conference at the end of April after their 0-2 start.
4. Chicago(6-4): As Rex Ryan was saying...............
5. St. Louis(5-5): What's on deck says the Stallions shouldn't get too comfortable here. But that first road W, Jarrett Stidham coming back strong, the emergence of Eric Gray, and the upcoming return of Rhamondre Stevenson can build plenty of much-needed confidence.
6. San Antonio(5-5): Joe Lombardi was definitely wondering where all this was during their preceding two-game roadtrip, Mecole Hardman or no.
7. Columbus(6-4): The Capitols' first losing streak of the season has made them resemble the 2023 version.
8. Tampa Bay(5-5): A pair of 50-28 thrashings has put the Sharks right in the mix.
9. New York(5-5): The Hitmen become the latest team trying to get back in contention to deal with the San Francisco red-hots.
10. Los Angeles(4-6): The Xtreme are streaking again, only this time the wrong way and Desmond Ridder has been exposed the last two games.
11. Orlando(4-6): The return of some key defensive personnel and some winnable games coming up will help, but how far is that going to go?
12. Seattle(4-6): On the week the Nix/Penix campaigns died Brian Hoyer decided to have his best game of the year (against a bottom four defense).
13. Washington(4-6): It's now unofficially Bailey Zappe's team going forward, but the Glory defensive issues (they've allowed 30 points in half their games) have all but rendered that irrelevant.
14. Dallas(4-6): When a to-the-end loss against the top team shows more than the preceding game that ended their five-game slide.
15. San Diego(3-7): Malik Willis won't have to worry about game speed for the rest of the season.
16. Birmingham(1-9): Malik Cunningham, difference maker. Eight snaps, one catch, minus two yards. As John C. McGinley's Jack Rose put it, the future of the team.
