Birmingham-WR, DL, DB
After losing players at all three positions in the offseason the Bolts--two-time defending XFL South champs in case you forgot--need to address each here. OLB may be a possibility although they seem committed to third-year player Roderick Green
Carolina-DE, OL
The Colonels took care of huge needs in the offseason by signing RB Jason Brookins and CB Brian Williams, now addressing both their lines will be the priority, although the defensive line is more pressing after an offseason housecleaning.
Chicago-DT
The Enforcers really haven't had a solid DT to pair with Jovon Bush since Larry Fitzpatrick left in 2003. With Sione Pouha a veritable unknown and Donnell Washington having been hurt most of his career so far this is a need
Dallas-OL, WR
A new head coach would be nice--the finalists reportedly being down to Butch Davis, John Mackovic, and Seattle Reign head coach Mike Zimmer, that aside the Vipers will have some free agents after the '06 season on the O-line, namely David Volk and Todd Williams. The WR situation isn't great, so another could be used here
Detroit-DT
Adding Tim Beauchamp at DE is nice, but the Mustangs aren't scaring anyone with Chris Snyder, Matt Keneley, or DeVone Claybrooks lining up next to Larry Fitzpatrick, who's been relatively banged up himself his two years in Motown.
Jacksonville-WR, DE
Last year the Predators struck gold with DE Chauncey Davis, but whether they re-sign former first-round pick Jamaal Green or not (and they reportedly will by the time the Preds report to their first mini-camp in March), they still need depth. Also they need to keep building up a solid young WR corps.
Kansas City-RB, DB
After sending Rashaan Shehee off to New York, there's a gap that the Monarchs will all but surely address with the #1 pick now. The Monarchs are still in the process of remodeling their secondary, and an upgrade at safety--which neither Kevin Eiben or Tyrone Carter was anything to write home about--seems to be in order. They've already got Leo Barnes and now just need someone to go with him.
Las Vegas-OT
If the champs need one thing above all, it's a left tackle. Jason Gesser was knocked down a league-high 52 times and Hodges Mitchell had the worst season of his career, rushing for just 409 yards and a porous 3.3 yards per carry.
Los Angeles-WR, DB
Besides Kareem Kelly and Darnay Scott, none of the Xtreme's wideouts scare anybody. No offense to Scotty Anderson, but if he has the inside track on the slot receiver there's a problem. It also might not hurt the Xtreme to load up at CB again just in case Will Poole struggles in his return although the dearth of young corners the Xtreme had last year should be able at the least to replace Earthwind Moreland as the nickel.
Memphis-OL
The 'Ax vigor in the offseason to load up at seemingly every position landed them basically one short. The leading candidate to replace Melvin Paige at left guard seems to be former Dallas Cowboy Tyson Walter, leaving the right tackle position to be determined.
New York-OT, DE
The Hitmen would really love a bookend OT to go with Brett Williams, and, while they signed veteran DE Regan Upshaw to replace Tim Beauchamp (or try anyway), they could stand to draft a solid young DE, and maybe he'll last with the team more than a couple years.
Orlando-RB, DE
After losing Mike Black to the Vipers--after a brief fling with retirement, the Rage have big-play back Lionel Gates, but Gates hasn't shown that he can be an every-down back. The other options aren't really appealing either. At DE, the team has no depth behind starters Kevin DeRonde and Kevin Emanuel.
Pittsburgh-OL, RB
Losing Steve Edwards in free agency means that the Ironmen will be in the hunt for someone who can play left tackle, but the Ironmen really could use help all over, as Jake Grove and Travis Claridge carry the line, but nothing else is there to write home about. Halfback was a question even before Maurice Clarett's latest legal troubles. After losing top tackler Dwayne Levels it seemed as if they were looking at inside linebacker, but both Rian Wallace and Grant Wiley can fight for that job.
San Francisco-RB
Needing someone other than Jamal Robertson to run the ball in '06 will be paramount, so the Demons will probably address this first. Other than that, the Demons are in good position and can possibly just stock the depth chart. It is also worth noting that nearly 3/4 of the Demons' 2005 draft class will likely be starters in 2006.
Seattle-OT, DB
While the Reign will sit the first round of the draft out landing Bryce Fisher for it will be worth it. They took care of another need because they didn't have an imposing defensive front. Other needs are on the offensive line, where offensive line coach Edwin Bailey has done a good job of developing a young line over the Reign's first two seasons but they aren't exactly their NFL brethren at left tackle, where Jacob Rogers hasn't really filled the bill and may move over to the right side and replace Jeremy Parquet, and although the Reign intend to go with youngster Mitch Meeuwsen at free safety to replace Leo Barnes, they still need depth in the secondary.
Washington-DT, OG
With Israel Raybon still a great player but 33 in March, the Glory would be well-served to draft a DT in the similar vein that they struck it rich with Jonathan Babineaux last season. While Lamar Bryant and Shannon Money will fight it out for Teag Whiting's spot at right guard, going here on Sunday could also be in order.
