Well, we are now at the 'quarter-pole', and so far we've seen much turnover this season, the biggest suprise being the two-time defending champs still oh-fer-2007(did losing MLB Seigler hurt THAT much?), but with nine more games on the dockett, the season is not a total loss. The Outlaws started last season 1-3, so anythings possible. The biggest story of the season has to be Rage rookie Marshawn Lynch who is locking up XFL Rookie of the Year as the weeks go by. 326 yards on the ground, 104 receiving and 4 TD's - not too shabby. Looking at the three undefeateds so far, if (big IF) form holds up circle June 23 - the Hitmen come to Arrowhead to face the Monarchs. Business first - NY has J'ville (road) and Chicago (home), KC has LA and Dallas on the road. None of the four are cakewalks. As for the Reign, their big test will be a three-week stretch in July playing Carolina and Orlando at home with a road gmae at Vegas in between. Buckle up folks, it's gonna be a bumpy ride.....
1. Kansas City (3-0): Sorry NY and Seattle, but the Monarchs faced and beat TWO 2006 playoff teams in a row, so they get the top spot.
2. New York (3-0): This just in, Hitmen D is living up to their name (fewest points allowed)
3. Seattle (3-0): Double D (Darling (349 rec. yards, 1 TD) and defense powering the Reign
4. Orlando (2-1): M. Lynch may have saved GM's job for Addai gaffe last season.
5. Memphis (2-1): 'Ax and Eric Shelton wondering when Bart Hendricks plans to play this season.
6. Carolina (2-1): Good thing Ray has Brookins and all those receivers, cause that D is getting fried.
7. Birmingham (1-2): QB's nightmare - Dumervil, Hawthorne, and Olshansky average 5 sacks between them.
8. Jacksonville (1-2): Leak learning on the job. As he goes, Bulls go.
9. Pittsburgh (1-2): Consistent? Kinda. After averaging 30+ their first two games, Hitmen drop a 30-spot on them.
10. Los Angeles (1-2): Not a good sign - X-men have yet to find a ground game between McCullough and Jones-Drew, and league's best run D comes to town (KC).
11t. San Francisco(1-2): Speaking of a lack of running game, Demons in worse shape than LA
12t. Detroit (1-2): Note to Josh Betts: Unless you're the Ravens, you can't win a game on field goals alone. Look for Kegel to start (finally) on Sunday.
13. Washington (1-2): McPherson needs to cut down on the picks if the Glory are going to do anything this season.
14. Dallas (1-2): Brilliant move picking up Seneca Wallace during the off-season, but will it transfer into more wins?
15. Chicago (1-2): Jacobs learning that the second time around isn't easy
16. Las Vegas (0-3): Losses keep coming, someone's getting buried in the desert.
