1. Kansas City (5-0): Sure, it was a little tougher than expected on Beale Street, but the 'Boyz in Blue' found a way to win and will be well-rested for the showdown at Arrowhead
2. New York (4-1): Still some concerns about NY's run offense and defense, but until they manifest themselves, that's all they are.
3. Birmingham (4-1): We can already hear the cries out of BIR now but continuing to win, especially against a second-half schedule that includes at LV after the bye, at SF in week nine, LA at home sandwiched in between, and the return match with KC in week 12 will get them what they want.
4. San Francisco (3-1): Very advantageous schedule for the Demons to get back on track after ugly loss in Big D.
5. Orlando (3-1): Rage are officially on notice this week as to what game (if not games) they'll lose Marshawn Lynch for, and don't look now, but Drew Stanton has now tied Derek Anderson for second-most INTs in the league.
6. Los Angeles (3-2): We'll find out against ORL if the Xtreme are really there or it was product of their schedule (MEM, SEA, PIT) the last three games.
7. Detroit (2-2): Must be a product of their environment, Mustangs had Rage on ropes, only to lose in Lions-like fashion
8. Las Vegas (2-2): Bye week should have Anderson recovered enough to get it together against a Reign squad that SEA fans, in a strange twist, can't wait to ship to Oklahoma City.
9. Carolina (2-2): Ugly as the second half was, a win's still a win, now about that nine-game road skid.
10. Chicago (2-3): In the last two offseasons, Kelley Washington and Mike Nugent were given generous deals to stay in the Windy City. We'll bet Enforcer fans were thinking just that when Nugent missed a key XP and Washington failed to get out of bounds at the end of the game, helping cost them vs CAR.
11. Dallas (2-3): The "sophomore jinx" lives: Zabransky with a league-high 13 picks.
12. Washington (2-3): DC finally hit the 100-yard mark, and the oft-injured David Givens returns. But let's face it, this isn't Randy Moss coming back.
13. Jacksonville (1-3): Russ Grimm would like to remind fans that Bulls were 1-3 at this point in 2008, although Tyler Palko was on his game then.
14. Memphis (0-4): Record aside, we'll give 'Ax the nod after game effort vs KC. But we're pretty sure James Lofton didn't move up to a head job for moral victories.
15. Pittsburgh (1-4): Steelers are the Super Bowl champs, Penguins are the Stanley Cup champs, Ironmen look as good as the Maulers.
16. Seattle (0-4): As seen above, we're not sure the bye helped the Reign as much as it did the Outlaws.
