Chicago sends to Seattle: Four-time all-XFL OLB Thomas Howard, veteran OG Melvin Paige, and all-XFL DT Rodrique Wright in addition to three 2010 and 2011 draft picks
Seattle sends to Chicago: G Max Unger and their first two picks in the 2010 XFL draft.
Major salary dump for the Enforcers, as Howard, Wright, and Paige were all to be free agents after the 2010 season anyway. They get a solid young interior star for years to come in Unger, the #3 overall pick last year for Seattle, and will look to the draft to replace Howard. With now four picks in the top 19 (although on the flip side the Enforcers will be, at the moment, absent from rounds three and four) the Enforcers will draft a replacement. Worst case scenario: they can start veteran Corey Moore, on the weak side. The Enforcers were also looking to move Wright, as the time is now for 2008 second-rounder Ahtyba Rubin to start.
Jon Gruden brought in quite a haul as he begins what is a gargantuan task of bringing back a Reign team who has been just as depressing as their NFL counterparts in Seattle the last two seasons, going just 6-18. Wright takes care of their need for a DT, while Howard would move over to strong side LB and allow the Reign to move Keith Ellison over to the weak side. Paige was almost sort of a throw-in as the Reign already have Mark setterstrom penciled in at left guard. The Reign are already at work on extensions for Howard and Wright. Seattle also flips the second and 18th picks for the 35th and 51st, freeing them up money to sign the two, who were the Enforcers' two first-round selections in 2006. They also got Chicago's second-round pick in 2011.
