Detroit at San Antonio
Must-win for both teams: Detroit needs to reclaim luster they lost in last week's debacle vs Dallas. San Antonio needs to win out (vs DET and KC) and even then won't be guaranteed a playoff spot.............Detroit and Las Vegas are tied for a playoff spot with both teams a game out in their respective divisions.............A.J. Nicholson will start at OLB for the Mustangs with rookie Donald Butler out for the rest of the season with a torn achilles.
Orlando at Las Vegas
Outlaws will try to keep yet another second-half surge going. They hold the wildcard spot and trail San Francisco by just a game.............Drew Stanton will make his first start since week two for the Rage, with Andre Woodson nursing a knee injury.
Memphis at Washington
The Maniax' end-of-season road was hard enough before the suspension came down for DT Jonathan Babineaux, related to his drug arrest last year.............The Glory, according to head coach Ron Rivera, "haven't really played a good game in about a month".
Seattle at Carolina
The Reign got off to a fast start for Jon Gruden but are just about out of it after three straight losses and five of six.............Carolina it seems can't go a week without an injury, this time WR Terrence Edwards.
Birmingham at Los Angeles
From a marquee-matchup at the beginning of the year to just playing out the string.............Star OLB Elvis Dumervil, who considered both sides in the offseason before re-signing with the Bolts, is out with a torn pectoral muscle.
Chicago at San Francisco
After narrowly extending their winning streak to five, the Demons will likely come out breathing fire against the road-winless Enforcers, all five road losses have been by double-digits.
Pittsburgh at Kansas City
For all the talk of the Matt Kegel-Chase Clement showdown, it is Anthony Calvillo and Tyler Palko, both coming in at 1 and 3 respectively in passing yards, who could light up the scoreboard on a summer day at Arrowhead.............Both secondaries have had injuries as of late. CB Josh Lay returns for the Maulers, who lost both games they played without him, while the Monarchs are missing FS Erik Coleman, Ashante Woodyard will move over to FS while Orlando Scandrick will start at CB.
New York at Dallas
The Hitmen will need more Chad Henne magic to keep their unlikely playoff hopes alive in an up-and-down season, perhaps Romeo Crennel's most trying in his seven as coach.............The Lonestars come off of back-to-back road wins at Washington and Detroit looking to keep the home field in their final two, if they can do that they'll be in the thick of things for a playoff spot.
