1. Kansas City(14-0): With the 40th touchdown pass out of the way, do the Monarchs play Case Keenum (and possibly Devonta Freeman) more to make a run at 16-0? Although they might be good enough with the current game plan.
2. Chicago(11-3): Statisically Nate Sudfeld gave Rex Ryan what he wanted to see but the second half three-and-out fest wasn't it.
3. Carolina(9-5): At the end of next week, Kevin Hogan could be in the playoffs while ex-senior Brian Hoyer is out, figure that one.
4. Orlando(9-5): The win that Kris Richard wanted all year (even including a sweep of the Enforcers), one that the Rage pretty much controlled from beginning to end. One more and their playoff ticket is punched.
5. San Antonio(8-6): To recap; the Stampede are about to slide out of the playoffs, their secondary and second best receiver are a M*A*S*H unit, their best offensive player has bigger problems, and Brian Hoyer's backups from each of the last two seasons could be matched up in a first-round playoff game. That about cover it?
6. Dallas(7-7): The Lonestars could be out of the playoffs before they even take the field in the rematch vs San Antonio.
7. Las Vegas(7-7): Strangely enough the Outlaws, with head-to-head wins over both Carolina and Orlando, are still technically alive for a playoff spot. Imagine if Chad Henne hadn't happened in New York.
8. Washington(6-8): The Glory, who beat the Enforcers in a late-season game at RFK last year, finishing .500 would truly be bizarre.
9: Los Angeles(4-10): Speaking of bizarre the Xtreme, outside their two losses to the Monarchs (a combined 52 points), actually have a positive point differential (+4).
10: San Francisco(3-11): This might have been the first time Rage fans were excited about Mike Jones' coaching in about three years.
11. Pittsburgh(3-11): Safe to say with Mike Mularkey leaving the 'burgh with Carolina one game away from being back in the playoffs and Ron James now 8-15 this hasn't exactly gone to plan.
12. New York(3-11): Some of us remember when A.J. McCarron was the third highest-rated passer in the league, yep a whole two years ago.
