We continue our FA series by taking a look at defensive backs
Adrian Amos: Coming off a career-high four picks and played both safety spots with the health of Reshad Jones nagging the Rage the whole season.
Prediction: Chicago. Call this a strike in the war brewing between the Rage and the Enforcers in the East. The Enforcers steal Amos away from Orlando and will pair him with second-year man Dane Cruikshank, who had some early struggles but improved with each week as he grew into the defense.
Ricardo Allen: Allen tearing his Achilles in week 1 it ended up, despite the Stampede's 7-1 start, being an indicator of what was to come as by the end of the season strong safety Miles Killebrew was the only starter left in the secondary at his original position and depth was ravaged too.
Prediction: San Antonio. While coming off injury, Allen is just too valuable to the secondary, as it showed, for the Stampede to let walk. It'll be another one-year prove-it deal though.
Justin Coleman: Comes off a career-best four interceptions, with one returned for a touchdown and his first all-XFL nod.
Prediction: Dallas. Coleman will replace Brandon Boykin as the Lonestars add some experienced bodies to their secondary, which had three new starters in 2019 and none of the reserves had ever appeared in a regular-season game.
Buster Skrine: A nine-year mainstay in Washington, plays with edge, as five interceptions attest to.
Prediction: New York. A longtime favorite of Ron Rivera reunites with him in the Meadowlands. Davon House was limited by a bad shoulder and lost his starting job to former first round pick Juston Burris, who wasn't much to write home about either.
Anthony Harris: When Tony Jefferson left for Pittsburgh as a free agent two years ago Harris wasn't looked at as anything more than a starter by default, he has played very well the last two seasons and had three interceptions and a fumble recovery in 2019.
Prediction: Washington. Skrine was their best player in the secondary and will be moving on but the Glory won't let Harris, who has become a dependable starting strong safety, get away.
