FIRST ROUND
1. Tampa Bay: Drew Lock, QB, Missouri. No change
2. San Francisco: Jawaan Taylor, OT, Florida. Earlier in the offseason, we wrote in this space about a Hitmen offensive line being anchored by a pair of Gators (Taylor and Trent Brown). Switch that to San Francisco, where Kyle Lauletta gets a substantial upgrade at both tackle spots, and they weren't even bad in 2019 (Cameron Fleming and Sam Tevi, interestingly enough both former Hitmen)
3. New York: Greg Little, OT, Mississippi. No change
4. Los Angeles: Greedy Williams, CB, LSU. The Xtreme and Demons seem to be linked in whomever doesn't get taken by X, will go to Y. Williams and Richard Sherman together is a soundbyte-guy's dream come true
5. Washington: Irv Smith, TE, Alabama. No change
6. Kansas City (from St. Louis): Mecole Hardman, WR, Georgia. We also were, tongue-in-cheek, sympathetic to the plight of Matt Nagy, who is truly on an island in Kansas City without anything to work with offensively.........but seriously, this is why the Monarchs acquired a third of the second round, to trade back and acquire the rights to torture defensive coordinators with both Tyreek Hill and Hardman on the field
7. Dallas: Cody Ford, G/T, Oklahoma. No change
8. San Antonio: Miles Sanders, RB, Penn State. A standout in pre-draft workouts, and this will fit with Kevin Sumlin's vow to clean house, the Stampede RB room will be a bit more crowded as Sanders joins Elijah McGuire, Justin Jackson, Darius Jackson, and Justin Crawford, but we're also calling that to be short-lived as well
9. Carolina: Dalton Risner, OT, Kansas State. No change
10. Orlando: Deebo Samuel, WR, Ohio State. No change
11. Chicago: Erik McCoy, C, Texas A&M: No change (even with the sudden return of Ryan Kalil)
12. San Antonio (from Kansas City): Taylor Rapp, S, Washington: No change
SECOND ROUND
1. St. Louis (from San Antonio via Kansas City): Darrell Henderson, RB, Memphis. Isaiah Crowell will be a question mark to see any of 2020 as he recovers from a torn ACL, the Stallions traded for LeSean McCoy, and the rest of the group (Jamaal Williams, Jeremy McNichols, and Demario Richard) rushed for just 729 yards between them
2. San Francisco: Zach Allen, DE, Boston College. With needs at corner and wide receiver this would be a pretty interesting pick, that said the Demons are looking to add to the defensive line with an extra pass rusher as Matt Ioannidis slogged through an injury-plagued first season in San Francisco with just two sacks
3. New York: Nate Davis, OG, Charlotte: No change
4. Kansas City (from Los Angeles): Dre'mont Jones, DT, Ohio State. The champs work the phones for the second time as they trade back into the upper half of the second to get (keep) their man
5. Washington: Michael Dieter, OG, Wisconsin. No change
6. St. Louis: Cody Barton, LB, Utah. No change
7. St. Louis (from Dallas via Tampa Bay and Kansas City): Khalen Saunders, DT, Western Illinois. After two years behind Brandon Mebane, former first-rounder Jaleel Johnson is ready to turn it loose, with UDFA standout Poona Ford alongside him, and reinforcements in the form of versatile vet Jack Crawford and Saunders
8. Los Angeles (from San Antonio via Kansas City): Kahale Warring, TE, San Diego State. Warring is more blocker than receiver, but the Xtreme have Tyler Higbee and Cole Hikutini as their receiving tight ends
9. Carolina: Germaine Pratt, LB, North Carolina State. No change
10. Orlando: Damien Harris, RB, Alabama. No change
11. Chicago: Jaylon Ferguson, DE, Louisiana Tech. No change
12. Kansas City: David Montgomery, RB, Iowa State. Goes from the top of the second in v1.0 to the bottom here. Furthermore the Monarchs keep half of their picks from the first mock but also sneak back into the first to grab Hardman. Could you blame the rest of the league of they feel like the rest of the NBA did watching the Warriors at any time in the last four years?
