Sharks 31 Glory 21 (Tampa, FL)
Drew Lock threw two touchdown passes and ran for a touchdown in getting the Jaime Elizondo era off on a winning note as the Sharks took care of the Glory for their first win of the season
Lock, who turned the ball over eight times in Tampa Bay's first three games, has turned a corner in the Sharks' last two. He only threw for 175 yards but was 18 of 23 and was bolstered by a 146-yard rushing effort, led by D'Andre Swift with 96 on 18 carries. Lock and Swift's rushing scores gave the Sharks a 14-0 lead, a welcome contrast to being down 24-3 heading into the fourth quarter against Carolina in week four
Cardale Jones threw for 272 yards and a touchdown in his first turnover-free road outing, and Kalen Ballage rushed 15 times for 98 yards and a score but it was too much for Washngton to overcome as they dipped below .500 again

Hitmen 34 Rage 20 (East Rutherford, NJ)
Taylor Heinicke threw two touchdown passes, Rod Smith took back his third kickoff of the year for six, and Kingsley Keke had a pair of sacks to lead a five-sack attack as the Hitmen authoritatively snapped a two-game losing streak and moved into a three-way tie atop the XFL East
Graham Gano hit four field goals, including a 56-yarder to open the scoring, then Smith answered a Michael Badgley field goal with a 90-yard return to put the Hitmen up 10-3. Brad Kaaya went up top to Ryan Griffin for a career-long 86-yard score to the the game, but the Hitmen would have the next four scores and, by the end of the onslaught, were up 31-10 entering the fourth quarter
Kaaya threw for 357 and two scores, but the Hitmen defense took control in the middle two quarters as they built the commanding lead. Heinicke hooked up twice with Jamison Crowder for scores, finishing 18 of 32 for 213 yards

Xtreme 24 Monarchs 21 (Kansas Ciry, MO)
Kenjon Barner scored two touchdowns in his return to the lineup, Josh Johnson threw the go-ahead touchdown pass to Michael Pittman in the third quarter, and the Xtreme went 8 of 12 on third down to keep Case Keenum off the field in the most clutch moments to knock Olympus from its perch and start 5-0 for the first time since winning the inaugural league championship in 2001
The Monarchs, without rookie speed back Salvon Ahmed, went mostly through the air as Keenum threw for 309 yards on 25 of 32 passing, but rushed for a season-low 26 yards. Keenum got the Monarchs back to within three with 5:10 on a two-yard keeper on fourth and goal, but the Xtreme took the clock under a minute before Austin Rehkow pinned Kansas City inside their 10. Keenum threw a deep pass that was intercepted by Siran Neal to end the game.
The Monarchs saw the end of their 40-game winning streak, 38 in the regular season, and fell out of first place for the first time since a week one loss to San Antonio in 2018

Demons 30 Lonestars 27 (Palo Alto, CA)
Kyle Lauletta hit Taylor Gabriel with the go-ahead touchdown with 29 seconds left, capping a 96-yard drive, and the Demons waited out one final Dallas attempt at a comeback to steal away a win from the Lonestars, who have lost three straight
The Demons took a huge gamble on fourth and 5 from the Dallas 20 with just under four and a half minutes left and a field goal would have pulled San Francisco to within eight, but Lauletta hit Allen Lazard for 11, and on the next play got the Demons to within five on a scoring pass to Levine Toilolo
Lauletta threw three interceptions, but rallied the Demons in the fourth quarter to finish with 320 yards and three touchdowns. Brian Hill rushed for 78 yards on 17 carries, and Lazard and Gabriel both had big games receiving--Gabriel went over 100 yards on 11 catches. Brandon Silvers was 26 of 37 for 332 yards with two touchdowns and an interception for Dallas, with Tommylee Lewis having a big day with eight catches for 137 yards and a score. The Lonestars have lost all three of Silvers' starts by a total of 12 points, with two decided in the final moments
