Marcell Ateman caught eight passes for 175 yards and two touchdowns, including the go-ahead 74-yarder with 5:08 left in the third, and the defense picked Brian Hoyer off three times as the Demons got a huge win and stayed in the playoff chase
Kyle Lauletta was 26 of 31 for 252 yards and Brian Hill carried 11 times for 69 yards. The Demons avenged a 24-21 loss to the Stallions in week two
Hoyer threw for 326 yards but was just 22 of 38. St. Louis was held to just 26 yards rushing

Monarchs 24 Stampede 10 (San Antonio, TX)
With the Monarchs' offense being all the rage they showed that their defense could drop the hammer, holding the Stampede to just 198 yards as Case Keenum threw a pair of touchdown passes
The Monarchs broke a stalemate in the second quarter on Keenum touchdown to Cordarrelle Patterson early in the second quarter, then a two-yard Buck Allen run to push the lead to 17-3. After a Jalen Hurts touchdown to Miles Sanders cut it to 17-10, Kansas City got another special teams play when Kenny Robinson blocked a Tress Way punt, and Keenum found Brice Butler for the putaway score
Hurts was 16 of 27 for 128 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Nathan Peterman also made an appearance for the Stampede, going three of four for 13 yards and a pick. San Antonio has dropped five of six

Hitmen 30 Colonels 21 (Raleigh, NC)
J.K. Dobbins rushed for 129 yards and two touchdowns and Taylor Heinicke added a pair through the air as the Hitmen stayed on top in the XFL East with a victory in Carolina, their third straight win overall as they head into next week's showdown with the Enforcers at MetLife Stadium
Dobbins' first of two scores, a 42-yard run near the midway point of the third quarter, put New York up 24-14. His second slammed the door on the scoring with 9:35 left as the defense took over from there
The Colonels came out strong, drawing first on a 23-yard score from Chad Henne to Tyler Johnson, but after the Hitmen went up 14-7 in the second quarter they turned the ball over on Darrel Williams' fumble inside the 10. Henne finished 23 of 44 for 295 yards with two touchdowns passing and one rushing in addition. Jordan Howard rushed 11 times for 52 yards to go over 1000 yards for the fifth straight season.

Lonestars 24 Glory 17 (Arlington, TX)
Brandon Silvers threw three touchdown passes and the Lonestars snapped a three-game slide with a home win over the Glory
Easton Stick's strong play continued, getting the scoring started (after a scoreless first quarter) with a 41-yard touchdown pass to Jakobi Meyers, but the Lonestars scored the next 17 points as Silvers hit Tommylee Lewis and Donovan Peoples-Jones for scores, the latter coming after Jordan Evans recovered a Kalen Ballage fumble and almost scored, taking it to the 2 where Silvers and Peoples-Jones connected. Dallas increased their lead to 24-10 on a late pass from Silvers to Troy Fumagalli. After the Glory scored with 19 seconds left, Nick Truesdell, acquired in a trade from Washington at the deadline, wrapped it up by recovering the inside kick
Stick was 25 of 46 for 356 yards with two touchdowns and an interception, but the Glory ran for just 34 yards--Ballage just 30 on 11 carries, but it was just enough to get over the 1000-yard mark for the first time in his career

Sharks 17 Enforcers 13 (Tampa, FL)
Drew Lock threw two touchdown passes but the defense was the star, picking Gardner Minshew off four times and stuffing James White twice on fourth and short, including near midfield with just over a minute left, as the Sharks ended the Enforcers' four-game winning streak
The Sharks came up with the two biggest stops in the game, halting the Enforcers twice inside the 10. The first was on a Jatavis Brown interception late in the first quarter, the second came in the third when William Gholston stuffed White for a two-yard loss on fourth and inches from the 3. The game ended with Minshew's fourth interception, a desperation heave from his own 10 picked off by Eric Murray
The Enforcers outgained the Sharks by nearly 100 yards but were done in by the turnovers and the fourth down failures. Minshew has thrown six interceptions in the Enforcers' last two games. White ran for just 44 yards on 17 carries although he did finish with eight catches for 51 yards. Chicago will head into the rematch with New York a game back in the XFL East, and a one-game lead over San Francisco for a playoff spot

Xtreme 31 Rage 28 (Orlando, FL)
Phillip Lindsay ran for two touchdowns and Kylie Fitts returned a blocked field goal for a score as the Xtreme took a 24-6 lead into the fourth quarter and held off a Rage rally to clinch their first playoff spot since 2009
The Xtreme led 10-3 late in the second when Nick Novak's 48-yard attempt was blocked by Bravvion Roy, and Fitts, who had started the last two games with Josh Sweat out, took it 66 yards for the score. The Rage wouldn't get within single digits again until the final touchdown pass from Brad Kaaya to Lynn Bowden
Kaaya began Orlando's furious rally on fourth and goal, hitting Alec Ingold on a four-yard scoring pass--Ingold's first reception of the year. After Lindsay's second touchdown made it 31-13, Kaaya threw touchdown passes to Allen Hurns and Bowden, the latter capped by a two-point run by Samaje Perine, but Tommy Townsend's onside kick was recovered by Kaden Smith, and then the Xtreme, facing a fourth and short at the 38 with just 26 seconds left, went for it and converted when J.C. Jackson was called for pass interference, effectively ending the game
Josh Johnson got back on track after a strong of subpar outings, going 17 of 21 for 234 yards and a touchdown, most of it going to Michael Pittman, who caught eight passes for 156 yards and a score. Kaaya was 28 of 40 for 331 yards, but was also sacked four more times--he and Brian Hoyer have both been dropped a league-high 38 times--as Orlando fell to their eighth loss in nine games
